Shapeshifting
a Woman’s Oracle through the Heraine’s Journey
There are moments in a woman’s life when things begin to change before she has the words for why. You notice what no longer fits. What asks more of you. What keeps returning, even when you try to ignore it.
This oracle was created for those moments.
56 photographic oracle cards featuring archetypal voices, spoken invocations and symbolic imagery.
What this Oracle is
The Shapeshifting Oracle works through reflection, recognition and unfolding.
Rather than providing fixed meanings or predetermined answers, the cards invite attention toward what is already present. What you notice. What lingers. What continues to return.
Each card combines image, archetypal voice and spoken invocation. Together they create a way of staying in relationship with your own experience, allowing meaning to emerge through recognition rather than instruction.
Designed to be spoken, returned to and lived with over time.
It is a practice that grows alongside you rather than one that is ever completed.
This is not a predictive Oracle
Companions, Not Authorities
Many oracle systems are approached as a way of finding answers. This deck takes a different path.
The cards don’t ask you to hand over your authority or look outside yourself for certainty. They do not predict the future or tell you what to do.
Instead, they offer image, language and pattern as companions to your own perception.
They help bring into view what may already be asking for your attention.
The work is participation, not prediction.
The voices within this Deck
These are not identities to adopt or roles to perform.
They are recurring patterns of experience that emerge throughout a woman’s life. Ways of perceiving, responding and moving through the world that become more visible at different moments and under different conditions.
Together, they form a language for recognising how a life changes shape over time.
Each card belongs to one of these archetypal voices. Together they create a shared language that continues through the companion book and seasonal Shapeshifting community.

Image, Invocation and Spell
How the Cards Work
The image gives form. The invocation gives voice.
Each card combines photography, symbolism and spoken language designed to call a particular quality of self into presence.
When spoken aloud, the invocations become more than words on a page. They move through breath, sound and body, bringing attention back to what may have been overlooked, deferred or set aside.
This is the spell-work of the deck.
Together, image, symbol and spoken language create a way of staying in relationship with what is already present.
The Map Beneath the Cards
A Map of Becoming
Beneath the cards sits a wider body of work that explores these same patterns in greater depth.
The Oracle is woven through two original frameworks: the Heraine’s Journey and the Rhythm of Life.
Together they explore how women move through cycles of beginning, longing, shaping, ending, seeing, responding and return.
Rather than treating growth as a straight line, these maps recognise the cyclical nature of becoming.
Each card belongs within this wider landscape. The companion book explores these frameworks in detail, while the seasonal Shapeshifting community carries them into lived practice.
Photographed with Real Women
The women within this deck are not models performing archetypes. They are women encountered through circles, rites of passage, workshops, gatherings and community life.
Each image is a symbolic portrait shaped through relationship, experience and place.
Grounded in Australian landscapes and contemporary women’s lives, the photography carries the atmosphere and emotional tone of the work itself.
The Oracle and the Hardcover
From Recognition to Understanding
The Oracle stands entirely on its own as a complete reflective practice.
For women who wish to explore the deeper frameworks beneath the cards, the Shapeshifting hardcover expands upon the archetypal voices, emotional patterns, symbolic work, the Rhythm of Life and the Heraine’s Journey that inform the deck.
Together they create a rich and ongoing practice of reflection and becoming.
Many women begin with one and later discover that the two deepen one another.
