Create a Life that Sets You Free
Psychotherapy with hollie
Trauma-informed somatic oriented psychotherapy for anxiety, trauma, overwhelm and the deeper patterns that shape how you experience yourself, your relationships and your life.
In person in Canberra and online across Australia.
You don’t have to keep carrying it all alone
Psychotherapy with hollie wildëthorn offers a safe, steady space to work with anxiety, trauma and overwhelm; so you can find relief, build resilience and create a life that feels more free.
Why choose Psychotherapy with me...
Go at your own pace.
Trauma-informed care means we move gently guided by safety and your capacity rather than pressure.
Your nervous system matters.
Sessions are trauma-sensitive, somatically informed and neurodiversity-affirming, responsive to your unique ways of experiencing the world.
You are more than your pain.
We attend to your whole being; body, relationships, life rhythms, identity and the stories and experiences that have shaped you.
Healing happens in relationship.
This is depth-oriented, relational work, building safety and trust while gently exploring the patterns that have shaped you.
Sessions are $180.
Most people begin with weekly or fortnightly sessions because meaningful change takes time.
You don’t have to stay stuck in the same cycles
Therapy with me is not about quick fixes, homework sheets, or forcing you into a rigid process.
It’s about creating a space where you can explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, in your thoughts, emotions, body, relationships and sense of self, at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
We work with the patterns that keep showing up, including the ways you have learned to respond, protect yourself and relate to others, and build a deeper understanding of how your experiences have shaped the way you feel and move through the world.
This is depth-oriented psychotherapy, drawing on Self Psychology, somatic awareness and an understanding of trauma and the nervous system. We work with what is happening in your life now while making room for the deeper experiences and patterns that may sit underneath it.
You don’t need to have the right words, know exactly what you want to work on, or be ready to tell your whole story. We begin where you are and work from there.
This work is for you if...
Anxiety keeps showing up in your body, your thoughts, relationships and daily life.
You feel caught in cycles of overwhelm, burnout or collapse.
Past trauma or grief still lingers and gets in the way of living fully.
You’ve tried to push through on your own, but the strategies don’t stick.
You’re tired of coping and ready to actually change the patterns.
You want a therapist who sees all of you; mind, body, nervous system, identity and spirit.
It’s especially for people who are ready to invest in themselves… willing to commit to showing up for at least 10 sessions, weekly or fortnightly, to give the work the space it needs.
What women say...
“I wanted to thank you for the help you provided me during our sessions last year. I credit you for guiding me to a new path in my life and reminding me I have the strength to succeed.”
~ S
“Thank you for the session hollie, I'm no longer hiding from myself on this topic!”
~ A
“Talk to hollie to step towards the life you want even if you don’t think you need therapy. Every session brings a new insight to myself and I am so grateful for the new perspective.”
~ B
Psychotherapy
What it will look like...
Step 1: Free 15-Minute Consultation
We meet on Zoom to check fit. No pressure, no sales pitch; just a conversation to see if we are a right fit.
Step 2: Begin Therapy
Sessions are 50 minutes and can take place face-to-face at my Canberra clinic or online via Zoom. We’ll begin gently, getting to know what’s happening for you and building a foundation of safety and trust.
Be willing to invest in at least 10 sessions for meaningful change.
Step 3: Ongoing Support
After the first phase, you can continue therapy as often or as little as suits your needs. Some people stay for a few months, others for longer. There’s no set timeline. Therapy is shaped around you.
Even if…
You’ve tried therapy before and been disappointed.
You’re unsure if you can talk about “big things” without falling apart.
You feel nervous about starting something new.
You’ve never done online therapy before.
My role is to create a steady, grounded container guided by your nervous system, where we go gently and steadily at your pace.

Cannabis-Assisted Psychotherapy
For some people, there comes a point in therapy where working within an altered state can offer another way to access and work with trauma, depression and deeply held embodied patterns.
I offer Cannabis-Assisted Psychotherapy in Canberra as a somatic, interactional approach that combines psychotherapy with the altered state produced by prescribed medicinal cannabis, with careful preparation, supported treatment and integration.
YOUR INTEGRITY GUARANTEE
No expectation in the first consultation.
If it doesn’t feel right, you won’t be pressured to continue.
This work has to feel safe and collaborative.
That’s why we begin with a no-obligation call to check fit.
Meet Your therapist
I’m hollie wildëthorn; a psychotherapist offering face-to-face therapy in Canberra and online therapy across Australia.
My work sits at the intersections of trauma healing, neurodiversity, altered ecology and feminism. i bring together formal training, decades of lived experience and a deep respect for the rhythms of nature to support people in creating lives of authenticity and freedom.
Therapeutic Approach
i practise within a psychodynamic, somatic self-psychology framework. Therapy integrates process-oriented, relational and body-based models with a transpersonal lens. My approach is anxiety-informed, trauma-sensitive and neurodiversity-affirming, always working at the pace of your nervous system to keep the work steady and sustainable.
This is for You if...
You live with anxiety, trauma or cycles of overwhelm.
You want to feel more balanced, purposeful and free.
You’ve tried other approaches that haven’t felt like the right fit or haven’t taken you where you want to go.
You’re willing to show up and invest in yourself through regular sessions.
Definitely not for you if...
You’re looking for a quick fix or one-off session.
You’re unable to commit to the process of long-term therapy.
You’re looking for a particular technique, formula or prescribed pathway rather than a therapy that develops in response to you.
You’re looking for a standardised or textbook approach to therapy.
If you could get out of the cycle on your own, you would have by now.
Therapy is the place where things can shift… gently, steadily and with support.
Because I work closely with clients over time, spaces are limited. If I’m full, you may be placed on a waitlist.

Yes. I am involved with psychedelic-assisted therapy for treatment-resistant depression and PTSD in Canberra, and also offer cannabis-assisted psychotherapy as another pathway for people who may benefit from working therapeutically with altered states.
In Australia, MDMA for PTSD and psilocybin for treatment-resistant depression can only be prescribed by an authorised psychiatrist under the TGA regulatory framework. I work closely with several psychiatrists who are authorised to prescribe these medicines and can help connect you with an appropriate prescriber if this pathway is something you are considering.
Because this work requires careful psychological preparation, i require that we complete at least ten psychotherapy sessions together before i would sit with you for psychedelic therapy. This allows us to build a strong therapeutic foundation and consider whether this approach is an appropriate fit for you. You will also need to complete an assessment with a prescribing psychiatrist.
Cannabis-assisted psychotherapy offers another way of working with altered states and can be a more accessible treatment pathway for exploring trauma, depression and deeply held patterns. You still need an appropriate medicinal cannabis prescription, and we can work through the steps together, including exploring whether this approach may be suitable for you and connecting with an appropriate prescriber where needed.
Access to MDMA and psilocybin remains more restricted and expensive under the current Australian regulatory system, and there can be a substantial wait between seeking treatment and receiving a psychedelic-assisted therapy session. During this time i can support you through preparation, ongoing psychotherapy and later integration of the experience.

I offer Cannabis-Assisted Psychotherapy as a specific treatment option for working more deeply with trauma, depression and patterns that can be difficult to reach through talking alone.
This is a somatic, interactional form of psychotherapy undertaken within a carefully supported altered state. Cannabis can change the way we experience the body, emotion, memory and our usual protective responses, creating an opportunity to work directly with experiences that continue to be carried through the body and nervous system.
For some people, this can make it possible to approach traumatic material with greater access to sensation, emotion and embodied memory, while remaining within a safe therapeutic relationship. We can work with what emerges in the body rather than requiring you to retell or relive the whole story, allowing experiences that have kept you connected to the past to be processed and integrated in new ways.
Cannabis-Assisted Psychotherapy requires an appropriate medicinal cannabis prescription. We can explore together whether this treatment is a suitable option for you and, where appropriate, work through the steps towards accessing a prescription and preparing for treatment.

It depends. My psychotherapy practice is built around ongoing therapeutic relationships, so new spaces open only occasionally when existing work comes to completion.
I will be taking new psychotherapy clients in September 2026. Please join the waitlist to be contacted when these places open up.
There may sometimes be earlier openings for ecotherapy work, depending on the season and availability. You can find out more about that here » ecotherapy »
While you’re waiting for a therapy space, you may find it helpful to participate in some of the other work I offer. I run group programs online and in-person retreats, which can be supportive places to begin exploring some of the same themes and practices until a private therapy space becomes available.
📷 A note on imagery: The photographs on this page were created during a planned branding shoot with Julia Meon Photography. We are committed to vital representation, while also honouring the privacy and protection of our real ceremonial spaces. These moments are intentionally posed to reflect the feeling and texture of Self Crafting work, without intruding on the sacredness of live circles. Deep thanks to the wildflower women who showed up and lent their sparkle to this epic creation day.
